Happy Friday the 13th. If you believe in any of that and are having a bad day, or an unlucky one, then this delicious caramel sauce should cheer you up!!!
Back in the summer I published lots of different sauces that just take 3 minutes to make. There were lots of yummy healthy sauces that you could serve up with your barbeque food and was all ones that we regularly use all the time.
But one of them that I forgot to share was my personal favourite. That is my caramel sauce. It is made with honey and coconut produce rather than shedloads of sugar and butter. Well Dominic’s naughty version is really nice but we can also do healthy too can’t we?
This especially applies if you can make a healthy version and it tastes even better than the bad one. That is just the kind of recipe that is always sold among Paleo followers.
Though clearly it’s banned on Whole30 as we are not even allowed to think about Paleo sugary treats then, let alone make a delicious caramel sauce.
What I love most about this caramel sauce is that it can be used as a base for a lot of different Paleo sweet stuff. If you could just imagine placing this inside your coconut flour cookies and how you would have that perfect caramel centre? Or what about if you made a McDonalds McFlurry with it? Or would that just be too naughty?

- Place your melted coconut oil and the honey into the blender and mix well. Add your coconut butter and seasoning and then mix again.
- Once smooth take out of the blender and eat as you see fit!
I find that you can also use clarified butter or ghee to make the sauce instead can be just as nice. But the coconut flavour is amazing in this recipe.
