Welcome to my super simple Oreo Ice Cream Sundae recipe.
We live in Portugal and we have beautiful weather from May to October with amazing beaches, amazing food and amazing water parks. We have called Portugal our home for last 8 years and the one big problem is that there is never any warning that the summer weather is on its way.
You can go from having a day which is 20c to a day that is 32c and then it will be hot like this all the time. A month ago today it was like that. Dominic and I had been out shopping with Sofia and Kyle had been at school. That evening we were dehydrated and each drank about 3 litres of water each and was complaining about sunstroke.
Funny thing is we have this every year because we are not expecting the big change in weather. But this year there will be no Sundaes from McDonalds because they are banned in pregnancy, so with me expecting my third child this is not an option. But Sundaes have often become a big part of our summer as they are so nice and refreshing especially with some sauce and some biscuits in them.
Plus like many Sundaes it is just nice to build up an ice cream moment based upon some simple tasty ice cream, that way you can bring it alive and really enjoy it.
So with the help of our ice cream maker we can now make Oreo ice cream Sundaes as a fantastic alternative to the traditional ones.

In your sundae glass layer it with your ingredients. Start by adding a scoop in each of your vanilla ice cream and then a layer of your white chocolate bits.
Follow this up with your caramel sauce. I suggest half a tablespoon per person as otherwise it is too sickly.
Then chop up four small Oreos into quarters and place on top.
For white chocolate bits I prefer to buy some nice white chocolate and then smash it into small pieces. It is much cheaper than buying white chocolate chips.
