Air Fryer Frozen Potato Croquettes. A delicious quick air fryer frozen foods recipe, potato croquettes are truly crispy when cooked from frozen in the air fryer.
Air Fryer Frozen Potato Croquettes
Air Fryer Frozen Potato Croquettes is one of my favourites when it comes to how delicious frozen food can be when cooked in the air fryer.
What I love about potato croquettes in the air fryer is that it feels like magic compared to other alternatives.
When you cook them in the oven, they can end up soggy and not have a truly crispy texture. Or in the deep fat fryer they can be very high in calories. However, cook frozen potato croquettes in the air fryer and they are perfect.
All you need to worry about is what dipping sauce you’re going to serve with your frozen potato croquettes!
Air Fryer Frozen Potato Croquettes True Story!
Earlier this year we went travelling to Spain and back and it was the first time Kyle was solo at home alone. He has just turned 18 and I did him a meal plan and sorted him out with lots of food and drink.
We have 2 freezers. One big one that I use for recipe ingredients and another small one for day to day use. I gave him strict instructions not to touch recipe ingredients and I come home, and he had enjoyed air fryer frozen potato croquettes without me.
But Kyle did say how nice they were!
So, Kyle bought us some more frozen potato croquettes and they are now on the blog ready for you to try too.
Healthy Air Fryer Frozen Potato Croquettes?
The bargain hunter in me will buy the fresh potato croquettes when they are on clearance, freeze them and then cook potato croquettes from frozen later.
You could make your own potato croquettes and then freeze them for another time.
My favourite shopping day of the year is 26th December. While everyone else is enjoying the Christmas sales and spending it on electric devices or clothes, I am there grabbing the clearance groceries.
Last year there was a lot of hype in England because supermarkets had so many potatoes that they were selling huge bags if them for 5p a bag.
If I had lived in England, I would have bulk bought and made my own homemade potato croquettes and then frozen them for later.
You could then make them as healthy or unhealthy as you wanted.
Air Fryer Frozen Potato Croquettes Alternatives
An important thing to consider with our air fryer frozen potato croquettes recipe is that you can use our potato croquettes recipe as a simple guide for our options.
You could apply the same temperature and timing in the air fryer for similar frozen foods.
For example, I LOVE cod croquettes that are sold in Portugal. They are just like potato croquettes, but they also have shredded salt cod in them too. Think of them a bit like a fishcake.
The same could apply for salmon ones or even frozen broccoli tots.
Plus, I am sure with the different cultures around the world we all have our favourite potato croquette.
How Do You Air Fry Frozen Potato Croquettes?
It is so easy to air fry frozen potato croquettes and you really don’t need any special equipment or any extra air fryer accessories. In many of our air fryer recipes we call for air fryer grill pans or air fryer baking pans. But when you cook frozen potato croquettes you can throw the frozen croquettes into the air fryer basket and then let them cook.
You can also cook several frozen potato croquettes at the same time because it is not like many air fryer frozen foods when you have an overcrowding problem.
