Welcome to my Airfryer Carrots Recipe here at

Welcome to my Airfyer Carrots Recipe here at I love carrots and they can taste even better than baked carrots, with a lot less calories, when cooked in the Airfryer.

Airfryer carrots are perfect for a side for dinner, to go with lunch or just for a snack for your kids.

My first ever memory of carrots is my Grandad growing them on his allotment. They tasted delicious and it was at a time when it was normal to eat the skin and there would be no harm done to you if you just gave it a quick rinse and ate it as it was.

Nowadays you would call that an organic carrot. Though I prefer to just call them homemade.

My Grandad also grew a lot of other great food in his small allotment. It amazed me because it was only a small space but OMG did he grow a lot.

I would enjoy homegrown carrots, gooseberries, strawberries, raspberries, cabbage, tomatoes and so much more. To be honest there was so much I just couldn’t remember it all.

My Grandad passed away in late 1993, so I dread to think what we would make of the Airfryer and all the other kitchen gadgets that are doing the rounds today.

Or the idea that freshly grown vegetables that have the “organic” tag cost a small fortune nowadays.

Carrots have yet to make it into our homegrown garden so for now we are relying on the cheap bag of carrots from the supermarket.

They are sold in big bags of 1 kilo weight and are perfect for peeling and chopping ready to make Airfryer carrots with.

Airfryer carrots can be very much like making Airfryer fries. A bit thicker though so that they don’t end up burnt but still lovely for a side with your meal.

Plus if you are on the Paleo diet and want to cut back on your spuds then it is a great way to do so.

When we cook our Airfryer carrots we do so with some olive oil, some seasoning (depending on the mood) and then leave them to cook in the Airfryer.

They really are that simple. As simple as making Airfryer Fries just a little healthier and are perfect for both kids and adults and so, so frugal.

Plus if your kids are the type that claim they HATE vegetables then throw some carrots their way and see how things change.

Airfryer Carrots Recipe

  • Peel and slice your carrots length ways so that they are like really thick chips.
  • Place them in the Airfryer basket with a sprinkling of olive oil.
  • Cook for 12 minutes at 180c/360f.
  • Give it a good shake, add the seasonings and cook for a further 2 minutes at 200c/400f.
  • Serve with extra fresh parsley.

Make sure you keep the carrots of a similar size. Otherwise some will be cooked and some wont. Plus there is nothing worse in cookery than carrots that are crunchy. Also make sure the carrots are not too small as they shrink when they are cooking and you will end up with carrots as thin as crisps.
