Welcome to my Big Fat Airfryer Fakeaway. Invite your girlfriends round, have a date night or watch a movie with your kids. Because I have the food sorted for the dream fakeaway. Incredibly low in Syns and super tasty, you just need to plan your movie.
I love movie nights in. I have a huge DVD collection and it’s nice to just grab a DVD and settle on the sofa with the hubby for a nice night in for two.
Of course, we have 2 under 3s so that doesn’t happen as much as we would like these days. But when it does it makes a great evening.
So whether you have DVDs, Cable TV or a Netflix subscription (well we have all 3) then you need this Airfryer Fakeaway in your life.
We are talking a great selection of quick to eat snacks. Movie snacks if you like.
If you have girlfriends coming around that are not on a diet and you want to make something nice, without making them feel like they are joining you on Slimming World then a fakeaway should be the order of the day.
You then do a quick prep and then throw it all in the Airfryer. Put it on one of these trendy warming plates, then hand out the wine and cocktails and you’re done. Relax and enjoy the rest of the evening with your friends or family.
This is also the kind of food that I put together on Valentines Night or on our Wedding Anniversary.
And it’s all because that Philips Airfryer of mine is like a deep fat fryer, grill, microwave and oven all in one!
Why An Airfryer Is A MUST On Slimming World
If you are on a low fat diet whether that is Slimming World, Weight Watchers or any other similar one then you need an Airfryer in your diet like you need a dressing on your salad.
An Airfryer cooks things with a lot less oil. So if you are on Slimming World and still want your Slimming World Chips then you can simply have them whenever you like for just a tablespoon of olive oil rather than that the deep fried alternative.
You can also make food incredibly crispy such as chicken wrapped in bacon, homemade KFC, onion rings or even big juicy burgers.
If you look inside the diet books at Slimming World they are always recommending jacket potatoes because they are so low in Syns. Well when you think of Slimming World Chips in the Airfryer instead and instead of the teaspoon of butter you have the olive oil instead.
Then think of everything that you can’t have on Slimming World and just think what you can make in the Airfryer instead!

My Big Fat Airfryer Fakeaway Recipe
Okay first of all I am sure you want to know what is included in my Big Fat Airfryer Fakeaway?
Well we have the following on the menu:
Airfryer onion rings are the best and so easy to make. You slice your onion, you batter it in a healthy batter and then cook it in the Airfryer.
They are Syn Free if you use the oats from your healthy extra B allowance.
This must be the most delicious thing on the menu. Succulent pieces of fish, breaded like what you would get at the Fish & Chip shop just minus the high calories. You can also use the same concept on some chicken strips too if you prefer?
Oh, and instead of serving it with chips make some crisps instead. Follow our recipe to the letter for the Slimming World Chips and instead using a grater, slice them as thin as you could possibly slice them. Then you have crisps. Then whoever you’re cooking for will be super impressed when they see what you have gone to the effort of making!
They are 6.5 Syns each for both.
Airfryer Loaded Potatoes
- Chop up the potatoes (with their skins on) into medium sized chunks. Rub the skin with a little olive oil. Season them with salt and pepper.
- Place in the Airfryer and cook for 8 minutes at 180c/360f.
- Remove them from the Airfryer basket and place them inside the Airfryer baking pan.
- Load them up with your favourite toppings and then cook for a further 5 minutes at 180c/360f.
- Serve with the rest of your Airfryer fakeaway.
