Breaded Air Fryer Pork Chops. This is a delicious air fryer pork recipe showing you how to make bone in air fried pork chops.
Delicious pork chops covered in a delicious flavoursome breaded coating and perfect for a filling family dinner.
Well its Sunday and you know what Sunday means? It means we are here we our fortnightly Sunday dose of family Sunday dinners for $5. Where I give you some ideas of what to cook for your family on a Sunday for less.

These cheap family meals include a starter, a main meal, dessert and of course some leftovers too.
That is what Sunday is all about in the Milner household. The rest of the week we don’t bother with starters and it gives us the chance for a family get together and to enjoy each other’s company over food.
Mrs Beeton Pork Chops

This year on RecipeThis.com is all about the Mrs Beeton Book Of Household Management.
Going back to classic cooking and you don’t get any more classic than pork chops. It’s the old school meat that comes back into fashion time and time again.
This is because not only is it super cheap, but it also tastes amazing too.
In the Mrs Beeton era it would always be served with potatoes, peas and gravy. Though with our version we will be modernising it a bit.
Plus, a lot of people find it boring, so by breading it and making the vegetables taste a bit better, then everyone is happy, and they will want it time and time again.

Breaded Air Fryer Pork Chops
The way we have cooked our breaded Air Fryer pork chops is very similar to how you would have prepared southern fried chicken or your own KFC in the air fryer.
It’s a system of flour, followed by egg, followed by breadcrumbs. A quick production line and then cooking the pork chops in the air fryer.
It is simple and easy, and your family will love it.

Plus, if you have small children just remove the bone and then bread it. They will just think that you had done them some yummy pork steaks or like the breaded pork you buy from the freezer department at the local supermarket.

Air Fryer Pork Chops – The Starter

Before we had our Air Fryer pork chops we had butternut squash and apple soup. Just because we needed apple juice anyway for the main and it was the perfect use out of them.
They are also less than 90 cent a bag at the moment. Plus, the majority of the ingredients are things that we already have in our pantry.
Air Fryer Pork Chops – The Sunday Dinner

Pork chops are lovely, but they need sides too. We had some of our favourite garlic potatoes as well as some slow cooker carrots. The sweet from the carrots tasted amazing alongside the sweetness of the apple in the pork.
Air Fryer Pork Chops – Dessert

Then for dessert we had more apples, this time with mini apple pies. They can be cooking in the air fryer while you are eating your dinner.
Plus, unlike with the oven, when you are eating and forget to turn it off, the Air Fryer will tell you when it is cooked!
Air Fryer Pork Chops – The Leftovers

YES! We have some apple leftover and it is just asking to be made into apple chips. Apple chips for our kids to snack on tomorrow and for our eldest son to take a few to school with him.

We loved this fortnights Sunday dinner. We used a bag of apples that went over several courses, had lots of pork chops and it felt like a luxurious meal. It went very slightly over a fiver though but was still good value for money.
Prices may adjust from country to country, but these are the prices we paid in Portugal and works out at $6.16 for five people. Though this Air Fryer Pork Chops is at the time of writing this post based on current exchange rates. We find that compared to the US our prices are identical. This is because we pay a lot more for our meat and dairy, yet a lot less for fruit and vegetables that it levels itself out.
That sounds delicious, I love pork chops although I have to say I never trim the fat, it is where all of the flavour is 😉
Love the pork chops recipe in the air fryer.
Pork chops are my favourite! I love how juicy yours are.
I really appreciate the way you break down the cost of the meals! These look so yummy 🙂
What if I don’t have apple juice?
We’re seniors and don’t purchase these kind of items ?
We do have prune juice, just kidding ?. We like 100% cranberry juice and Welches 100% grape juice. No orange juice.
These turned out amazing!!!!
We used smaller boneless chops but they worked just the same, cooked them for 20 mins cause they were thinker.
Really glad you liked the recipe Lija 🙂
Do you use fresh bread and just blend it or stale bread?
Hi Shannon,
We used fresh bread the crusty bits around the edges we found was best and does the best breadcrumbs. But also if we have alot of fresh bread left over we leave it out and let it go hard and then blend them and freeze them for another time 🙂
Thanks.
What’s the purpose of the apple juice in the egg? I’ve never heard of this.
Hi Deanna,
Mainly for flavour as apple goes really well with the pork and also to stop the pork drying to much whilst cooking 🙂
Hope this helps!
My wife made Air Fryer pork chops last night and I must say they were the best chops I’ve ever had! They were crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside! Thanks Sam 🙂
