Chicken Avocado Burgers in the Air Fryer. A delicious Whole30 and Paleo version of chicken avocado burgers. Even better it involves JUST 3 ingredients, cooked and prepped in less than 15 minutes, making it fast and simple for a quick homemade chicken burger recipe in the air fryer.
Chicken avocado burgers must be one of the BEST EVER burger inventions. Forget loading up your mince with loads of onions and lots of different seasonings, the combo of chicken and avocado together with Mexican seasoning make these chicken avocado burgers have the wow factor.
One true love of mine must be the combination of chicken and avocado. It is something that just works so well together. Just like how well salt and pepper go together or chicken and rice.
I love to have my chicken and avocado together when I have a chicken salad or when I have a roast chicken. But up until now I have not had them together in a burger.
OMG its truly amazing how good they taste.
Plus, at the time of writing this and eating these delicious chicken avocado burgers in the air fryer, I was on the Whole30 and it meant I could still have my burger fix!
Chicken Avocado Burgers In The Air Fryer
In todays recipe for chicken avocado burgers in the air fryer its all about simplicity. Just 3 ingredients are used in the chicken avocado burgers recipe:
- Chicken Mince
- Mexican Seasoning
Nothing else just these 3 ingredients!
Then they are mixed together in a bowl and then made into chicken burger shapes and then cooked in the air fryer.
You can then serve them with your sides of choice.
We served our chicken avocado burgers with potato wedges and a little bit more sliced avocado. But its all about personal choice.
Another favourite of ours during the Whole30 is fried onions. Though Dominic loves his fried egg and in another round of recipe testing that is EXACTLY what he had on his.#Chicken #Avocado #Burgers In The #AirFryer @recipe_thisClick To Tweet
Peel and slice your avocado. Cut 3 of your avocado slices into small cubes and leave the rest as whole slices.
Place your minced chicken in a mixing bowl and add to it your Mexican seasoning and your chunks of avocado.
Mix the ingredients well and form into chicken burger patty shapes.
Cook in the air fryer at 180c/360f for 12 minutes.
Serve with potato wedges for that ideal Mexican meal.
The Mexican seasoning we use is this one. Its our favourite and not overly spicy. We find that for every 2 burgers we make that one tablespoon is a good amount of seasoning. Because it is minced chicken and not beef, it can be a bit sticky when mixing.
The best thing is to flour your hands first and then the minced chicken wont stick to your hands. If you want to make more of our chicken avocado burgers at once, then remember these measurements. ½ Tbsp of Mexican seasoning, 200g of avocado and 200g of minced chicken per burger.
You can use any type of minced chicken. We used minced chicken thighs. But we normally find this difficult to find and often just ground up some spare chicken breast.
