Welcome to my healthy green soup in the soup maker.
It is January now and everyone wants to lose weight and improve their health, especially after all the mad crazy binging that has been done over Christmas.
I count myself among those as I can’t resist all the unhealthy things when I am feeling festive. I also notice my rule of half of all food being vegetables slowly slipping away.
The good thing is that with owning a soup maker it is very easy to get back into your vegetables.
You can have loads of vegetables in one meal via your soup or just use your soup maker for steaming your vegetables to have with some nice lean meat.
For us we will often have soup as supper with some warm crusty bread and even though we know the bread is not strictly healthy, it still makes a brilliant evening meal for us all.
This soup came about as a really good green vegetables kick on Boxing Day and for us to feel a lot healthier.
It is also an excellent replacement for cabbage soup if you’re following a strict detox diet.
Our son who swears he hates cabbage, loves this soup so if you want to be a sneaky parent that gets their kid eating vegetables that they claim that they hate, then this is the easy solution!
Healthy Green Soup In The Soup Maker
- Slice up the cabbage, courgette and broccoli.
- Remove the seeds from the pepper and dice it.
- Place the vegetables into the soup maker along with the seasoning and the water.
- Set it up on the cook and blend feature for 25 minutes.
