Welcome to my latest recipe and this is for a quick blend Syn Free Slimming World Strawberry Angel Delight. This has to be the most amazing quick dessert recipe for when you are on Slimming World and you want something quick and easy.
I always remember the Angel Delight brand. Like most kids born in the UK you grew up with it. You would make a kids trifle with it. You would have a layer of jelly, a layer of Angel delight, a layer of whipped cream and then loads of 100’s and 100’s along with some grated Cadbury’s flake right on top.
It was heaven.
Then as I met Dominic I got him hooked on it too and it became the ultimate sugar feast.
Then we moved to Portugal and the local cost would be 3 times what you paid for it in England and it was just not worth it. I remember thinking we could make 3 chocolate cakes and still be better off.
Every now and again my mum would feel sorry for us and bring us some from England but that was often a once a year treat.
So we quit it for a long time until we decided to invent our own.
But you are probably wondering why make your own from scratch when you can just open the packet, add skimmed milk and mix with either a fork or a blender.
Well….and it’s a BIG WELL….this one takes only a couple of minutes longer to make, is full of natural ingredients and is SYN FREE. Absolutely no Syns in sight. Or you can use my suggestions further down for a better one that is just a small amount of Syns.
That is depending on how flash you want to take it with your copycat Angel Delight.
For me I love both recipes and it is just hard to decide which one is best. So I will leave the decision to you.Quick Blend #SynFree #SlimmingWorld #AngelDelight #Recipe via recipe_thisClick To Tweet
In a blender place your yoghurt, cheese and stevia and blend until it has a lovely whipped texture.
Add to it the food colouring and chopped up strawberries and fridge for an hour and then serve.
I added vanilla to mine at the same time as the food colouring. It worked out at 25% of one Syn for ½ a teaspoon.
If it is not thick enough add some extra natural yoghurt or a little more soft cheese.
I also suggest pureeing ½ of the strawberries and stirring them into your mixture. If you do this you will need extra natural yoghurt so that the mixture is not too thin. Though please note pureed strawberries need to be counted as Syns.
However if you are wanting something that is Syn free when you have been bad then just do it in the way I have suggested to keep it Syn free as it is nice on its own.
This recipe is enough for four people and with it using 4 HEAs for the whole lot it works out at just 1HEA per person.
