Welcome to my Slimming World Lasagne Cups In The Airfryer. A delicious use of your leftover Bolognese, cheese and broken lasagne sheets.
Perfect for the Slimming World diet too as they are completely Syn Free. Cooked in the Airfryer they are a busy mums dream come true.
I love lasagne. I mean I really LOVE LASAGNE. It is one of my go to foods and is perfect for if you are on Slimming World and want something Syn Free.
You probably think Slimming World Lasagne can never go together but they can. You see last month on the blog I did my Slimming World Lasagne recipe.
It involved lots of homemade Bolognese, plenty of cheese sauce and even more lasagne sheets.
Providing you use my Slimming World Lasagne recipe then you can keep it completely Syn Free.
As no butter, flour or oil is used in the recipe and instead it is loaded with vegetables and lean mince.
In this Slimming World Lasagne recipe we are putting the lasagne into cups. It is a big trend at the moment, but NOT like how I do it.
The trend right now is to use filo pastry instead or any type of Chinese pastry. Both can be good of course but come with a Syn value, which why use them when lasagne sheets are completely Syn Free?
For example I tried making these Slimming World Lasagne Cups with filo and they worked out at about 2 Syns each and I would rather save the Syns for more chocolate as I am a HUGE chocolate addict!
These lasagne cups are also a great use of leftover lasagne. Though I should confess that I have a 16 year old that considers lasagne to be his favourite food, so we only have leftovers when he is at school!
Whatever you have leftover from your lasagne can be used:
Lasagne Sheets – you know those broken up bits of lasagne sheets at the bottom of the box? Well they can be used. Just like the half sheets and the quarter sheets can also come in handy. On top of this you can also use full sheets in this recipe too. But you don’t need as many of them compared to if you were making a regular full sized lasagne. This means that if you have cravings for lasagne and just have 2 lasagne sheets left in your packet then you can make these lasagne cups with it.

Bolognese – say you have loads of leftover mince from a spaghetti Bolognese, meatballs, sloppy joes or even from making cottage pie, then it can be used to make this. No need to reheat either as it will warm up as you cook the little lasagne cups in the Airfryer.
Cheese Sauce – I confess now I always make too much. I will pour my leftover cheese sauce into a plastic container and then freeze it for later. But instead it can be used to make a dish like this instead.
Or for a plan B you could just place grated cheese over the top of your little lasagne cups instead of using a cheese sauce. The idea here is that you have something quick from leftovers and that you can cook them quickly in the Airfryer.
Plus even better…..we did an olive oil vs none olive oil test. We greased the bottom of the little cups with olive oil and then did some without and some with flour.
We found that those that were NOT greased were non stick and you just rinsed the cups under the tap after use and they required no scrubbing at all.
Compare this to a big lasagne tray that takes ages to scrub away the grind and this is a dream come true.
Ideally, this recipe should really be renamed to No Washing Up Slimming World Lasagne Cups In The Airfryer!
Slimming World Lasagne Cups In The Airfryer
Ingredients
- Airfryer
- Silver Cup Moulds
- Slimming World Lasagne Leftovers
- 3 Lasagne Sheets
- 3 Tbsp Soft Cheese
- 1 Tbsp Oregano
Instructions
- Break your lasagne sheets in half and cook them in a pan of warm water until they get to the boil. As soon as they start boiling, turn off the heat and leave for a couple of minutes. Then drain them from the water and place on a worktop to cool.
- Break up the lasagne sheets with your hands and carefully place them around the bottom and sides of the moulds. If you are using tiny lasagne pieces then cover the bottom and the sides of the cup until you cant see the silver of the cup anymore.
- Fill the bottom of your lasagne cups with Bolognese, followed by a teaspoon in each of soft cheese, followed by a layer of either grated cheese or cheese sauce.
- Sprinkle the top with some oregano.
- Place them in the Airfryer and cook for 5 minutes on 180c/360f.
