Frozen Potato Skins In Air Fryer

I remember the first time I enjoyed American style potato skins. We were at Disney World and it was our first night there. We had travelled a long way and couldn’t believe how tired and worn out we felt.

In less than 2 days we had gone from Portugal to London to Boston to Orlando.

I was stupid enough to book our Planet Hollywood meal for that first night and we were excited to go and see what Planet Hollywood was all about.

Loved the place, loved the food, but the service was awful.

It is not cool to bring your mains, 90 seconds after your appetizers. This meant our burgers ended up being cold and not worth bothering with.

That was the June of 2012 and still to this day, we are still talking about the yummy potato skins that was on our appetizer platter.

So when I walked into our local Iceland here in Portugal and saw TGI Friday’s potato skins, I bought them in bulk with the plan to take the potato skins home and cook them in the air fryer.

Can You Air Fry TGIF Potato Skins?

Yes you can! In fact, we have a real treat for you today, because we have also made a video for you. A video that shows you just how easy it is to air fry TGIF potato skins.

When we bought our first box of Friday’s potato skins it was Christmas time and it was wonderful for dumping in the air fryer as a quick appetizer.

We then loaded them onto the dining table, along with other great appetizers and had a lazy day.

If you want that quick appetizer fix that tastes good, then give frozen potato skins a go.

Though, be warned they are super hot. I burnt my tongue on them and it took me a day before my tongue felt normal again.

How To Air Fry Frozen Potato Skins?

frozen potato skins in air fryer step by step

Cooking air fryer frozen potato skins is super easy:

  1. Place frozen potato skins into the air fryer basket.
  2. Air fry + serve with more air fryer appetizers.

Though, don’t burn your tongue like me, as the cheese on the potato skins is super hot.

How Long To Cook Frozen Potato Skins In Air Fryer?

The frozen potato skins cook time can vary between having a preheated air fryer and not having a preheated air fryer.

If your air fryer is preheated then go with an 8 minute cook time, but if it hasn’t then stick with 10 minutes.

I should also mention that our air fryer was quite full as we did two boxes of potato skins at once.

In the video below you will see a cook time of 8 minutes and this was because we were doing back to back recipe videos and the air fryer had been on for an hour.

Any Air Fryer Frozen Potato Skins

In this recipe today, we are showing you how to cook TGI Friday’s Potato Skins. But you can use any brand you like.

Or you could have made your own and then loaded them into the freezer for later.
