Dump and go Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken. Throw the ingredients into the slow cooker, then come back later to slow cooker shredded chicken.

  1. Place all the ingredients into the slow cooker and cook on high for 3 hours.
  2. After 3 hours remove the chicken breasts and place on a chopping board. Shred them with either your hands or a knife and fork.
  3. Place the shredded chicken back into the slow cooker. Give it a good stir and make sure the tomatoes are well covered with the chicken.
  4. Cook for the last 30 minutes so that the liquid reduces.
Recipe Notes

You can also cook it for 8 hours on low, followed by 10 minutes on high at the end. This would be better if you are at work all day. If you want a different flavour such as mushrooms, then replace a regular can of tinned tomatoes with a mushroom flavoured one. Our favourite way to eat our shredded chicken is over some couscous. Or you could serve it with some rice.
