Paleo Sweet Potato Burger Buns In The Air Fryer

Delicious Paleo Sweet Potato Burger Buns. The easiest recipe you will ever find for a gluten free and grain free alternative and OMG these are addictive.

  • Peel and dice your sweet potatoes into the shapes of burger buns.
  • You need 2 medium slices for each burger you are making. You can cook up to 16 slices at once in the air fryer, before your air fryer becomes overcrowded.
  • Using your hands rub the olive oil over them.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cook for 10 minutes at 180c/360f in the air fryer.
  • Place your Mediterranean burgers in between two sweet potato burger bun slices and serve.

Notes

I just seasoned my sweet potatoes in salt and pepper. But you could use whatever seasoning you like. I’m going through a Mediterranean phase now and love thyme and oregano on everything!
To check if your sweet potato burger buns are done, place your thumb in the centre of them. If they are soft on touch and allow you to press them in, like you’re mashing potato then they are done.
