Pressure Cooker Taco Meat. This recipe for frozen taco meat in the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker, is your go to recipe when you want taco meat in a hurry and all you have is some frozen meat in the freezer, that is far from being thawed.

Instructions

  • Place 1 cup of water into the bottom of the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker.
  • Place the trivet/steamer shelf on top and rest the beef onto the shelf.
  • Place the lid on the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker and cook for 15 minutes on manual pressure.
  • Use quick pressure release and using your hands grab the trivet out of the Instant Pot using the handles.
  • Drain the water from the bottom, add the olive oil and place it on sauté.
  • Add the mince once it starts to sizzle and using a wooden spoon break down the taco meat until its fully shredded.
  • Season well and mix a little more.
  • If it is too dry stir in a little coconut milk.
  • Serve.

Notes

We get our taco meat from Butcherbox they are currently offering free ground beef through this link this month. We cooked just over 500g of beef in our taco meat recipe. If you want to cook more make sure it’s portioned out into another portion and sat on the shelf side by side. Otherwise, you will need to add on extra cooking time.
