Get your butter out of the fridge and allow it to reach room temperature.
In a mixing bowl add the butter, caster sugar and self raising flour. Rub the butter into the flour and sugar until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add water to the breadcrumbs one bit at a time, while mixing with a fork until you have a mixture that resembles a dough. Knead a little until you have a soft pastry dough ball.
Roll out your pastry and cut into 6 similar sized pieces.
Roll each mars bar up in one of the six strips, making sure that there is no mars bar visible.
Place your mars bars into the air fryer grill pan, making sure they are not overcrowded.
Cook for 6 minutes at 180c/360f.
Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve.

Notes
My mars bar pastry made enough for 6 medium sized mars bars.I used self raising flour in my pie crust, that way it will puff up a little which is perfect for the texture you want in a deep fried mars bar alternative.
