Instructions

  • Chop the chicken into strips.
  • In a small bowl beat your egg.
  • In a third bowl add ½ the packet of quavers and crunch them up with your hands.
  • Roll the chicken in the egg and then in the crushed quavers.
  • Place the baking mat in the bottom of the Airfryer and place the chicken on top.
  • Cook for 15 minutes at 180c. Turn with a pair of tongs and then cook for a further 5 minutes on the other side.
  • Serve.

Notes

You could change this for a whole range of favourite crisps. I have gone cheesy with quavers. But you could do it with doritos for a spicy flavour instead.
For a dipping sauce, I recommend that you mix a teaspoon of mustard power with a tablespoon of natural yoghurt. It gives a delicious flavour and is perfect for a Syn free alternative to mayonnaise.
My chicken strips were not very fat, if your chicken pieces are thicker you might need to cook them for longer and check to see if your chicken is cooked in the middle before serving.
For Slimming World this recipe comes in at 2.75 Syns. This is because it uses ½ a packet of crips.
