Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl add together the egg and milk. Beat until well mixed.
  • Chop your French bread into garlic bread pieces and throw into the egg and milk. Submerge it until the bread is well covered in the egg and milk.
  • Shake off any excess and place the bread onto the grill pan inside your Airfryer and spread it out so that none of the bread is covering each other.
  • In a small bowl mix together the parsley, garlic and olive oil until mixed.
  • Using a pastry brush, brush the garlic mixture over the top of the bread and cook for 2 minutes at 180c/360f in the Airfryer.
  • Turn it over after 2 minutes, brush the other side and cook for a final 2 minutes.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

You don’t just have to make garlic bread with your leftover bread. I also love to use this as a base for cheese on toast, French toast or best of all a touch of Italiana with some bruschetta.

This garlic bread recipe is really easy to make. Students and future chefs often do a quick garlic bread when they are learning to cook because it is so simple. You can also use fresh parsley but the benefit of dried is that it is just a quick add to your garlic topping.

It’s important that you don’t allow it to get cool, as when it gets cool it will end up going a little hard again. Plus garlic bread always tastes best when warm.
