Ingredients

Instructions

  • Place 300ml of water into the bottom of your bread maker.
  • Place all the other ingredients into the bread maker (apart from the yeast).
  • Then sprinkle the yeast over the top of the ingredients.
  • Place the lid on the bread maker and cook on the light setting. It will then start the process and take approximately 3 hours to cook including kneading the bread for you.

Notes

This bread maker recipe is big enough to feed a family of 5 for lunch sandwiches or for serving with homemade soup. It makes 1 kilo/2 pounds of fresh bread. Remember to adjust the cooking time, if you are cooking a really small loaf or a really big loaf. The bread will not rise if the yeast is added directly to the water. Therefore, make sure you add the yeast right on top instead.
