This Steak Mac and Cheese works out as enough for four people or enough for two and then a batch for the freezer for later. Because of how you dice the frying steak you only really need one slice between the four portions. You can of course add more but we’re happy with this portion size. The secret to one pot pasta cooking is that you use equal amounts of stock to pasta. Therefore, you can use a measuring cup to get the equal amounts or use a measuring jug like we did.
Perfect for working out measurements if you want to use more pasta than what we did. I find that sometimes it can be too thick after adding in the cheese, if this happens to you add a small amount of milk. Or if it is too thin add some extra cheese. We love to make a stock of boiling water with an Oxo cube. We have beef, chicken and vegetable Oxo cubes in our pantry depending on what we’re cooking.
