Best Ever French Chicken Marinade

The French make the best ever marinated chicken and in this French version we are featuring fresh garlic, white wine, plenty of tarragon and it is low calorie thanks to zero oil.

  • Slice your chicken breasts into bite sized pieces. Season them with salt and pepper and place them into your freezer bag.
  • Peel and dice in half all of your garlic cloves.
  • Place the garlic and the rest of your marinade ingredients into your freezer bag.
  • Give it a shake and place in the fridge for an hour so that your chicken can marinade properly.
  • Remove the chicken from the bag and place it in your Airfryer grill pan inside your Airfryer. Do this along with 2/3 of the marinade. Though make sure the chicken isn’t overcrowded so that it has chance to cook properly.
  • Cook for 10 minutes at 180c/360f.
  • After 10 minutes using tongs turn the chicken and add the rest of the marinade.
  • Cook for a further 5 minutes at 200c/400f and then serve.


You can use any white wine that you like. We used a cheap bottle of dry white wine that we use especially for cooking with. When you cook your chicken in the Airfryer cook it with 2/3 of the marinade leaving the rest in the bag. Then when you turn the chicken add the rest.
This will keep your chicken moist and help enhance the flavour of the chicken marinade. If the marinade isn’t soaked up enough in the chicken, add a couple of tablespoons of coconut milk. I season my chicken breasts with salt and pepper twice. This helps with the flavour. This chicken marinade recipe is also particularly good for turkey breasts as it stops it from being dry.
