  • Place a cup of water (240ml) into the instant pot or if using an 8qt or 10qt instant pot, increase this to 2 cups. Then add in your steamer basket. Chop the end off the asparagus, discard the end and the band and then place in the steamer basket.

  • Season the asparagus well with salt and pepper.

  • Place the lid on the instant pot, set the valve to sealing and pressure cook for 2 minutes followed by a quick pressure release.

Notes

Quantities. I have used one pack of asparagus. You could increase this to double or triple and keep the same cook time.
