Slimming World Syn Free Roasted Parsnips In The Air Fryer

Delicious Syn Free roasted parsnips in the air fryer. A tasty alternative to roast potatoes and perfect for roast dinners.

  • Peel your parsnips and then chop them diagonally so that you have similar shaped roasted parsnips.
  • Place them into your Instant Pot steamer basket. Lower the basket into your Instant Pot and place it on top of the steamer shelf (trivet). Pour a cup of warm water over the parsnips and close the lid on your Instant Pot.
  • Set the valve to sealing and cook for 3 minutes on manual pressure.
  • Quickly release pressure when it beeps.
  • Drain the parsnips and place them on a chopping board.
  • Season well with salt and pepper.
  • Place the parsnips in the air fryer and cook for 8 minutes at 200c/400f.

Notes

For a Plan B and if you don’t want to part boil, instead after peeling and chopping, toss in a tablespoon of olive oil. Then cook for 15 minutes at 180c/360f. Season with salt and pepper. If you feel like your parsnips are a little under done, then add a couple more minutes at 160c/320f.
I find some air fryers are more powerful than others and some need a little bit more cooking time. We like to use extra virgin olive oil. We find that it flavours the food much better and is more about quality. This is the one we recommend.
