Air Fryer Hot Dogs served in warm hot dog buns and loaded with mustard and crispy fried onions. I love cooking hot dogs in the air fryer for a quick snack, lunch or dinner.
Place your hot dogs into the air fryer and line as many of them that will fit in your air fryer.
Cook the hot dogs for 4 minutes at 180c/360f.
When it beeps remove the hot dogs from the air fryer.
Add to the air fryer the hot dog buns that you have already sliced open and added butter to.
Load the hot dog buns with hot dog sausages and cook for a further 2 minutes at 160c/320f.
Serve warm with your favourite toppings such as mustard and crispy fried onions.
Notes
You can alter this air fryer hot dog recipe depending on how many people you’re feeding. A good portion size is one hot dog per person if serving with fries, or 2 hot dogs if serving without. My husband and I are not big eaters and had 1.5 hot dogs each and served it without fries. You don’t need to preheat your air fryer, this is because you’re just warming up food and it will get your air fryer too hot too soon.
