Slow Cooker Asian Pulled Pork
Slow Cooker Asian Pulled Pork. My most popular pulled pork recipe in the Milner house is this slow cooker Asian Pulled Pork and if we could we would eat this every day it is that delicious.
Add your dry rub ingredients into the bottom of the slow cooker.
Get your pork shoulder out of its packaging and remove any excess liquid.
Add a little extra virgin olive oil around the pork to create an oily layer.
Place the pork into the slow cooker and rub the marinade into it.
Cook on high for 5 hours.
Shred and add in barbecue sauce.
I always say that it feeds 4 if you are greedy or 5 if you want leftovers. I also have 2 fussy little ones and some days they don’t want to eat. Or it depends on what sides you’re eating it with. We served our Asian pulled pork with roast potatoes.
I have kept this Asian pulled pork marinade mild because I am feeding 2 under 5’s. But you’re welcome to increase the chilli powder if you prefer or add in some cayenne pepper.
You can use a small, medium or large pork shoulder. Our pork shoulders typically weigh between 1.5 and 2 kilos which is between 3.3 and 4.4 pounds.
