Notes
Stock. My stock was red wine gravy leftover from my instant pot lamb shanks. You can use your own stock, use a shop bought, or go without.Shoulder. I used a small to medium sized lamb shoulder. You can use the same or go bigger and keep the same cook time. Though note that they do shrink a lot during cooking so you might need bigger than you think.Browning. We have this amazing slow cooker that is safe for the hob/stovetop. It is this one if you want a slow cooker that you can use for browning or for sauteing.Fat. Lamb is a fatty meat and generates a lot of fat in the slow cooker. I recommend you pour the contents into a mesh strainer and get rid of the fat and save what is left and use it towards gravy, or stock for your next lamb meal. Thanks for reading our slow cooker lamb roast recipe on Recipe This.
