Firstly cook your vegetables. Add the carrot and potato to a food steamer and cook for 20 minutes or until soft.
Secondly make your pastry. Rub the fat into the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add cold water (a little at a time) until you have a nice soft dough. Roll out your pastry ready for the Cornish pasties.
In a large pan add your mince, with a little olive oil and cook until it has browned through. Add the seasoning and add your potato and carrot (once it is steamed). Mix well and set to one side.
Wait until the mixture has cooled down enough (so that you don’t burn yourself) and fill half a side of the Cornish pasty pastry with the filling. Do this until you have run out of pastry.
Brush the pastry with egg and then place in your Airfryer. Cook for 25 minutes on 200c or until your pastry is well cooked.
Serve.
Notes
I find that you don’t use much filling in your Cornish pasties so you need very little of it. So you can use the leftovers to make yourself a cottage pie.
