Instructions

  • Start by making the dough – mix the flour, yeast and salt together in a large mixing bowl and stir in the olive oil and milk. Gradually add the water, mixing well to form a soft dough. Turn the dough onto a floured workspace and knead for about five minutes, until smooth and elastic. Transfer to a clean bowl, cover with a damp tea towel and leave to rise for 90 minutes or until it has doubled in size. Knead it and repeat the process again so that it has doubled in size again. Roll out your dough and it is ready for its toppings!
  • Make the topping – for a bolognese pizza start by adding a thin layer of your tomato sauce around the base. Now in a large pan sauté your onion with the olive oil and garlic on a medium heat until the onion is nice and tender. Add the mince and cook for 10 minutes or until the mince is well cooked. Add the rest of your tomato sauce and mix well. Reduce the heat and allow to simmer for a further 5 minutes. When the tomato sauce has reduced, add a layer of cheese followed by your mince.
  • Cook in the oven for 30 minutes on 180c.
  • Serve!

Notes

We use our own tomato sauce because we like the mix of flavours and it tastes much better than just using tinned tomatoes and tomato puree. You can get our tomato sauce recipe by clicking here.
