Potatoes And Carrots In Air Fryer

Over this last week we have shown you how to cook instant pot steamed carrots, then how to instant pot carrots and potatoes together, but the big question I often get asked is instead of carrots and potatoes in the pressure cooker, can we air fry them for crispy deliciousness?

And the answer is YES you can use a similar recipe and swap the instant pot for the air fryer and make the best ever potatoes and carrots in the air fryer.

Made with baby potatoes and baby carrots, you season the potatoes and carrots first and add some extra virgin olive oil and you then air fry.

If you have not yet done potatoes and carrots in the air fryer, then think of them as similar to when you do roasted carrots and potatoes in the oven, just much quicker and with a lot less oil.

Can You Boil Potatoes And Carrots Together?

Yes, you can boil potatoes and carrots together. You can also do any mixture of the potatoes are carrots. For example, if you prefer more carrots than potatoes, then do this or the other way and do more potatoes than carrots.

We recommend cooking 900g which is 2lbs of potatoes and carrots at the same time and that can be any mix.

Can You Air Fry Carrots And Potatoes?

Yes, you can air fry carrots and potatoes and it’s much better than boiling potatoes and carrots.

That is because when you boil vegetables it loses the nutrients in the recipe. Whilst roasting carrots and potatoes keep the great flavour.

Roasted Carrots And Potatoes Air Fryer Ingredients

Roasted Carrots And Potatoes Air Fryer Ingredients

Carrots – You can use any carrots, but I prefer to make carrots and potatoes in the air fryer when baby carrots are in season as they air fry so well.

Potatoes – Plus, we also used baby potatoes because they are just so good in the air fryer.

Oil – Then for oil nothing beats extra virgin olive oil in the air fryer. It makes food crispy, is so good for you and when I use other oils they are just not as good.

Seasoning – With seasoning your air fried potatoes and carrots its all about personal choice. We love our carrots and potatoes with dried seasonings such as thyme, parsley and oregano. But you can use whichever you like.

You can of course mix and match with any roasted potatoes and carrots flavours you prefer.

Then for the kitchen gadgets that we have used in this air fryer potatoes and carrots recipe it has been our Philips Air Fryer. We recommend this one and its wonderful for many types of air fryer recipes.

I used russets and they came out really good! The syrup wasn’t really detectable, which is what I was hoping. Thanks for the recipe!
