Air Fryer Steak & French Fries. Delicious steak and fries cooked the French way in the air fryer with delicious rump steak and homemade fries.

If you live in Europe, then there is a good chance that you grew up on Steak and Fries. Or maybe your mum wanted it to sound really posh, so she would use the Belgian and French wording of Steak Frites.
Or if you grew up in the UK (like me) then you probably called it good old steak and chips.
I was very lucky growing up and thanks to family holidays I had the chance to try it in the UK, Spain, Portugal and France. Though it was always the nicest when we had it in France.

You would always get a piece of rump steak with some garlic butter and a side portion of French Fries.
You could then add on extra sides that you wanted. Often this would be onion rings or fried tomatoes. I loved both of them and it was too hard to choose a favourite.
Air Fryer Steak & French Fries

To make steak and French fries in the air fryer is incredibly simple and once you have made it, there will be no going back, and you will want to make it time and time again.
Because the rump steak takes a lot less time to cook than the French Fries you start by peeling, chopping and starting the cooking process of the fries first.
Plus as we use olive oil to cook it with, it can add a great flavouring to the fries before the steak enters the air fryer.
Then while the fries are cooking pound your steak with a tenderiser.

Then when your fries have just 6 minutes of cooking time left, you can add the steaks on top. Then when the steak has finished cooking in your air fryer the French fries will be ready too.
The wonderful thing about making air fryer steak and fries together is that the juices of the steak dribbles down onto the fries and makes the fries taste AMAZING.
