Air Fryer Toast

Today as part of our theme for air fryer breakfasts we are sharing with you how to use the air fryer for toast.

Who doesn’t love toast?

Toast is up there as one of those AMAZING comfort food breakfasts that we have all been addicted to for many years.

I know when I was pregnant with Sofia that is all I wanted to eat during the first and second trimester.

I had morning sickness until around week 19 and a couple of slices of air fryer buttered toast, made me feel so much better.

Now Sofia herself loves air fryer toast and loves watching the air fryer as it makes awesome toast in just a few short minutes.

Whenever I talk about the air fryer and its capabilities a big part of that is the fact that it can replace several kitchen gadgets. One of those gadgets that I often mention is the toaster.

No matter what your toast style is the air fryer can do a wonderful job. You could use our toast recipe today as your guide for air fryer plain toast and then add whatever toppings you like.

You might want to just make air fryer buttered toast like we do the most, or you might want to make air fryer grilled cheese, or how about air fryer cream cheese bagels?

Can An Air Fryer Toast Bread?

YES IT CAN. But and this is a HUGE BUT you need to make sure it is secured in the air fryer basket, or better still cook it in the air fryer oven like we do.

This is because when you use a regular air fryer basket like our Philips Air Fryer XL, the air can lift light food into the air, this means that after you have placed your bread ready for air fryer toast, it can take off and move.

However, the air fryer oven cooks it differently and it stays in its place a lot better.

Though, if you are using an air fryer basket, I recommend the air fryer grill pan as it stays in place much better and it is perfect for 4 slices of plain toast.

Air Fryer Plain Toast

We are basing our air fryer toast recipe today on making air fryer plain toast.

That way you can add in your favourite air fryer toast toppings and use our air fryer toast as a quick reference guide.

Though don’t forget to mention in the comments how you like your air fryer toast as we would love to know.

Our #1 air fryer toast is buttered toast and our #2 is air fryer grilled cheese. But we are open to new air fryer toast ideas!

Air Fryer Toast Time?

To cook toast in your air fryer takes JUST 3 minutes at a high temperature of 200c. THAT IS IT.

But it gets better, as I have recently tried cooking toast in my new kitchen gadget the Mealthy Crisplid.

It is the air fryer accessory to the electric pressure cooker, and it makes it even better than the other air fryers because it goes to a higher temperature.

This gives you the opportunity of a better crunch to your toast. And OMG it is air fryer toast heaven!

Toast In The Air Fryer

Air Fryer Toast step by step air fryer toast recipe

Toast in the air fryer is SIMPLE. You get the best results from either an air fryer oven or a Mealthy Crisplid. Simply place the bread onto the top shelf of your air fryer oven and cook for 3 minutes at 200c/400f.

Then as soon as it beeps load it up with your favourite topping and serve.

My favourite air fryer toast toppings include:

I could go on all day here but those are my all-time favourite air fryer toast toppings!

Just made this today for breakfast. Can’t believe that you could use the air fryer for something as simple as toast. Going to get rid of my toaster now and try your pizza toast next.

Found this last night on Facebook and had some spare bread and gave it a go. I was concerned that the bread would fly into the vents or it wouldn’t be as good as the toaster. But i am impressed. 5/5.
