Avocado on toast in the air fryer. Delicious wholemeal bread with avocado spread on toast. A delicious healthy breakfast, brunch or supper and so filling that you will not want to eat for hours.
Avocado on toast is delicious and is like the best replacement you will ever get for toast with melted butter.
Even though I don’t have much toast compared to when I am younger, my favourite way to have toast was with melted butter on top.
That was all I ate when I was pregnant with my daughter Sofia. She gave me morning sickness and the only thing that settled my stomach was toast with butter on.
But during my third pregnancy with Jorge I discovered avocados. I was never that bothered for them before that and they made me feel so good and stopped morning sickness in its tracks.
I would snack on them all the time and soon learnt that they tasted amazing as a butter alternative and were meant to go on toast.

If you buy an air fryer, you soon learn that they take the place of a lot of kitchen gadgets. I even say if you are to invest in kitchen gadgets to have a slow cooker, instant pot and air fryer. They are the 3 main ones that can make you a lot of meals.

For toast lovers out there, the great thing is that you can make the likes of avocado on toast in the air fryer and it’s so simple too.
To Make Avocado On Toast In The Air Fryer You Simply:
- Cook the bread first so that it is nice and crispy like toast would be.
- Mash your avocado with a fork
- Load up your toast with avocado and toast a little longer
I mean it can’t get any easier than that can it?
Avocado on toast tastes like a slice of toast that is loaded with lots of creamy goodness and you get a similar feel good moment, that you normally do with butter or cheese. But the difference is that avocado is so much better for you.
You’re probably wondering what goes with avocado on toast? Well you can serve it up as it is or load it up with some scrambled eggs or poached eggs. Or if you are like me, then you can have it with loads of sliced tomatoes. BUT avocado on toast is incredibly filling thanks to the mix of good fats and carbs, therefore you shouldn’t want anything else with it.
The Golden rule to avocado on toast is that your avocados that you use are soft. If they are too hard then they will not mash very well. Hence having big lumps in your avocado on toast and not getting the delicious creamy topping that you’re aiming for.
Avocado On Toast Is Low Calorie. This is because for each person you are serving you only need 25g of avocado. Which when you look at 100g of avocado in the dish below you can see that is a LOT.
Easy To Make Vegan. YES, you heard it right, you can make avocado on toast vegan. Just by using a bread dough that has been made with olive oil rather than butter and milk. Then of course you would not add egg to the toppings.
You can turn your avocado on toast into sandwiches too. We love to use mashed avocado on fresh bread and then you can take it to work with you or have it as part of a picnic on the beach.

Place a slice of toast in the air fryer and cook for 4 minutes at 200c/400f.
After 4 minutes turn it over and cook for 4 minutes on the other side.
Spread the top of it with mashed avocado and serve.
I mashed 100g worth of avocado (the weight after the skin and stone was removed) and placed it in the fridge prior to starting my toast. If you want warm avocado, 2 minutes before the toast is done, spread the mashed avocado over the toast.
Then allow it to cook for the last 2 minutes with the avocado over the toast. From a Syns point of view for Slimming World it is 1 Syn for each 12g of avocado. Therefore, considering this is serving four people, it just over 2 Syns per person. Or if you wanted 2 slices then you would be talking 2 Syns.
