Pressure Cooker Chicken Parmesan Pasta. If you love chicken, parmesan and pasta then you will love how delicious and quick our Pressure Cooker Chicken Parmesan comes together. Quickly cooked in the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker and then the perfect family freezer meal for later.
Each time I have spare chicken, pork or turkey, you can guarantee it will be made into a pasta casserole and thrown into the freezer for a later date.
That is exactly what happened when we made Pressure Cooker Chicken Parmesan Pasta.
I had a mixture of chicken and turkey to use up from Christmas and with lots of dried pasta in the pantry, parmesan cheese in the fridge and a big herb cupboard, it was a very quick family freezer meal.
Pressure Cooker Chicken Parmesan Pasta
When we tested and created our Pressure Cooker Chicken Parmesan Pasta it was the 26th of December. Known to the UK as Boxing Day or known in the Milner household as let’s go and buy lots of cheap clearance meat, that nobody wanted over Christmas. One year I got 6 turkeys, 1 year it was beef shin and 1 year it was a trolley full of random meat, that lasted us for months and months.
But on my radar for the day after Christmas is to use up as much of the leftover Christmas meat as quick as possible, so that it doesn’t result in food waste. I need fast freezer meals, because I am out shopping for clearance meat, I am also on a mission to spend time with the kids and help them test out their new toys.
Bring on Pressure Cooker Chicken Parmesan Pasta is what I say!
Throw the ingredients into the Instant Pot (or any other brand of pressure cooker) and quickly create masses of freezer meals that you can turn to later when you can’t be bothered to cook.
Here is a selection of the chicken parmesan pasta we made with just a few simple ingredients:
Isn’t there a LOT of chicken parmesan pasta? Even I was surprised by how much pasta I had for the freezer. Also, if you’re a big family then imagine serving these over Instant Pot baked potatoes or with an Instant Pot Butternut Squash.
But the SECRET to success with being able to cook large portions of chicken parmesan pasta in the Instant Pot at once, is having tall but round freezer containers. You see the Instant Pot is not very wide, so its best to focus on the height rather than width.
I like tall glass bottom freezer containers like what we used to make our chicken parmesan pasta. This is because they hold a lot more food than many of the containers for the Instant Pot. Quite often you must choose something small, just so that it will fit in the Instant Pot.
But these pot in pot glass bottom food storage containers are a dream come true.

Just think to yourself now, how many of the ingredients to make Pressure Cooker Chicken Parmesan Pasta do you already have in your kitchen?
Making Pressure Cooker Chicken Parmesan Pasta Freezer Friendly
To make my Pressure Cooker Chicken Parmesan Pasta freezer friendly I cook the dish in advance in the Instant Pot. This means that when you come to eat the chicken parmesan pasta later, you don’t need to worry about mixing in lots of seasoning, or peeling garlic cloves.
Once the chicken parmesan pasta has cooled down, you can freeze it inside your glass bottom freezer containers. Then get them out of the freezer as and when you need them.
You can also empty the frozen chicken parmesan pasta directly into the Instant Pot inner pot, add some water and then let the Instant Pot do the hard work. It cooks much quicker this way. Or if you’re in the mood for Chicken Noodle Soup, then add extra water and it’s the perfect copycat.
Then at the end of the cooking process you can add extra cheese to your chicken parmesan pasta, if you want it extra cheesy!

I filled 3 huge glass bottom freezer containers with chicken parmesan pasta. Each container will easily feed 4-5 people. If you have spare cooked vegetables, you can also add them in. After extensive testing I found that they take longer to reheat than smaller containers due to the size of them. If you want it faster, empty the contents into the inner pot, add 250ml of water and cook for 0 minutes instead.
