Welcome to my Whole 30 Super Crispy Bacon In The Airfryer. Enjoy sizzling tasty bacon in the Airfryer, it is just so good that you will think it has been deep fried. Then serve it with sausages, fried eggs and breakfast potatoes for the dream meal.
Lets go back to Christmas for a moment or too….(yes I know its June but stay with me for a minute) or breakfast on Christmas day has not changed in all of the 18 Christmases that we have shared together. All that has changed is the technology.
Back in 2000 when we celebrated our very first one, we owned a Nokia 3310 and we would have bacon butties for breakfast with a glass of buzz fizz. It lined our stomach before we would eat loads of delicious festive food.
Yet last Christmas in 2017 there we were cooking our bacon butties in an Airfryer while taking Christmas pictures from a Sony Mobile Phone that was worth more money than our first camera, first camcorder and first phone put together. And if someone had said to me 17 years ago that one day we could make bacon in an Airfryer (and it taste better than a frying pan) and that we would have a camera phone, we would have thought they were nuts.
It just shows how modern technology has changed for the better and how kitchen gadgets in particular make home cooking so good.
By air frying your bacon you lose the excess fat as it goes to the bottom of the pan, then because of the technology it has this amazing ability to make things the crispiest that you have ever tried them.
You can mix up the cooking with a bit on each side, do it all on one side or whatever you please. Because the Airfryer does all the hard work for you, so that you don’t have to!
So here is a big thumbs up to technology and thank you for making it so amazing that we can cook bacon in such an amazing way. Though clearly we are on the Whole 30 right now, so no bread is allowed but it is still perfect for salads, or being added to meals.

Preheat your Airfryer to 180c.
Place 4 slices of back bacon into the basket of your Airfryer.
Cook for 3 minutes on one side, turn it over and then cook for a further 2 minutes on the other side.
If you want really crispy bacon, then avoid cooking it with other things at the same time, as if it is over crowded it becomes soggy.
We always use back bacon. It is a traditional British cut and you can get it both smoked or unsmoked (unsmoked is better) and is much leaner than other cuts.
Whole 30 Day 14
I am back with my day 14 on the Whole 30. Last night was one of those nights that many people experience on the Whole 30 and that is when they dream about chocolate. Or in my case, dreaming about eating baked goods.
I dreamed for what felt like forever, as I made cakes for someone else and sneakily had some for myself. Funny thing is that I didn’t have any guilt about it!
But beware if you are on the Whole 30 as this happens a LOT.
What I ATE On Day FOURTEEN Of The Whole 30
Today has been a delicious day. Including leftovers from last nights dinner, crispy chicken that is better than KFC and roast vegetables.
Breakfast = Leftover Pulled Pork & Salad
Lunch = Crispy Chicken & Chips & Salad
Dinner = Chicken Tray Bake
For breakfast today I have a mixture of leftovers from yesterday and also a few items thrown in the Airfryer. I have yesterdays pulled pork, the salad then I load my plate up with some sweet potato hash, crispy bacon and some salad dressing.
Then for lunch today we had chicken and chips with salad in the Airfryer. A whole chicken in the Airfryer is just so good and then if you serve it up with fries and a salad, it is even better. If you didn’t know where it came from you would think it was fast food.
Then for dinner we have a chicken tray bake. Loads of seasonal vegetables cooked in the oven with loads of chicken pieces on top. Seasoned well it’s a great lunch.
